The Homestretch Announces European Premiere
/The Homestretch is excited to announce its European premiere at The Paris Human Rights International Film Festival (FIFDH Paris) which runs from April 7th through the 21st. Screenings will be held at Luminor, Hôtel de Ville.
The FIFDH Paris has, for the last 10 years, been the most important cultural manifestation on the theme of Human Rights in France. Each year, they offer directors from all over the world the opportunity to present their work and to meet the public. From over 500 films that are watched each year, they select only about 20 works to be shown, and we are deeply honored to be among them.
"Nobody knows how many homeless there are in Paris," said The Economist in a 2012 article. "The last meaningful estimate by INSEE, France’s national statistics office, [estimated]...12,000." Homelessness, especially youth homelessness, affects communities around the world, and The Homestretch team is committed raising awareness for those who don't have a voice. We are thrilled to be partnering with Java Films, "one of Europe’s leading independent documentary distributors," to help extend our reach throughout Europe.
